Deran Thomas Garabedian

Deran is an experienced strategist with an interest in building and growing businesses and economic development.

While at Monitor Group and OTF Group, Deran advised senior executives and government leaders on complex growth and economic development issues across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. From enabling value chain development for one of the world’s largest oil companies to crafting industrial development and investment strategies across numerous emerging market countries, Deran has developed expertise across a range of industries and domains including industrials and manufacturing, oil and gas, agriculture and food processing and economic development and public policy.

More recently, Deran has worked closely with start-ups and SMEs on launch, growth, operational improvement and technology-development programs, as well as market entry strategies for high growth emerging markets.

He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MSc from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London).
